The Company Problem: Soundbroker had a static website with over 5000 products listed for sale. They manually updated their listings on a regular basis using a combination of Excel files and HTML page edits. They had no membership system and visitors could not post their own listings. Updating the listings in the multiple locations, managing customer data offline and communication via email made the process very time consuming and limited the amount of deals the company could simultaneously broker.

 

The BannerView.com eBusiness Solution: We put a dynamic system in place that took previous tasks difficult to accomplish and automated many of those same tasks and implemented certain features:

  • Online database allowed member submitted listings to be managed through the Web site, thereby eliminating the need for Excel spreadsheets
  • Full communication system provided a process of brokering items for sale and could be managed and archived all from within the Web system
  • Fully integrated e-commerce system allowed direct payment for items through the Web site
  • Amount of manual data entry that had to be done to keep all data synchronized between online and offline databases was cut down significantly
  • Increased the ability to grow the listings from 5000 to over 20,000 while actually creating less work

The Company Problem: Cruisin USA called and said that they needed an eCommerce system that could manage inventory for online sales. The system they were currently working with was not integrated into their Web site and was outdated to the point that they could not find a programmer to interface with it.

  • Seamless customer order entry with the ability to link to merchant credit card providers provided ability to charge the orders, approve transactions, and automatically print out work orders
  • Manual order entry from customers calling the 800 number during business hours was assisted with the “live” inventory so they would know they can fill orders
  • Database access to past and present customers provided an outlet to offer quantity discounts and different pricing schedules through email campaigns
  • Paperless order transactions accomplished with the implementation of the searchable database, as well as establishing a link to Fed Ex shipping computers for instant data transfer
  • Credit card terminal was eliminated with the ability to run all charges through the online system
  • Archived sales data increased accuracy in ordering and importing raw materials for better inventory management

i) Ability to look back on Sales by items which has greatly increased our accuracy in ordering our raw materials which we import, so we are always 90-120 days out and Bannerview helps us determine what we are selling and what we need to order and drop the items which do not sell
