Our Second Workshop: SEO & Social Media Strategies 102
was a Roll-Up-Your-Sleeve Session which Proved Helpful to Attendees

On Wednesday, June 15, BannerView.com held at its offices the first in a series of three
in-depth workshops in its Edutainment Learning Series. The session focused on “SEO Strategies that Positively Impact your Bottom Line Including How to Leverage Social Media to your Advantage.” We were a full house gathered around the conference table.

Most of us there were non-technical people and all of us realized that having a website is not the same as it was five years ago. One can no longer create a website and leave it alone. The search engines now demand that your website be kept current with new content that is relevant to your business and industry. If you do not “feed” and “nurture” your website, you will not gain position in your business rankings--thus undermining driving traffic to your site and using it as a tool for maximizing your business prospects and revenue opportunities.

As the Edutainment Teaching Team peeled away a web page and showed a map to the group of how the search engines read a page, the group gained new and valuable insight. Revealed was that each part of a web page needs to be viewed as a significant piece of real estate that serves a purpose to the search engines. Creating keywords and where you place them on the page were points emphasized. And the group worked through worksheets and Google Analytics in how to research and develop those keywords and where to place them on a web page. They learned why blogs and newsletters are tools that fuel fresh content and how the search engines respond to them. The group was further enlightened on just how social media plays a role in optimizing rankings. They learned that social media is another tool in generating fresh content to which search engines respond to positively. Furthermore, we discussed the criteria you need to use in selecting the appropriate social media outlet(s).

“I loved your training yesterday! Thank you so much...I look forward to attending your next seminar!”

What to Do When You Can’t Do it Yourself:

It’s not so easy having a website today because it requires knowledge in building its structure and a commitment to keeping it current. With this in mind, the Edutainment Teaching Team designed the session so that our attendees could view their website in a new and educated light--armed with enough knowledge to determine the questions they need to ask and the talent they need to seek when doing it yourself doesn’t make sense when you have a business to run.

As an experienced resource, at BannerView.com, we build websites structured for the demands of the search engines. Furthermore, we have just launched our new BannerWSO Website Optimization and Marketing Service, a consulting service designed to construct your website so that it is best positioned for search engine optimization and prepared to support your current and future marketing efforts.

As attendee Christine Robert of Denise Robert Marketing of Denver Colorado and Thousand Oaks, California (213-804-1010) wrote:

“I think it's going to be a great launch to your WSO Marketing service next week. You're addressing an area that I find so many people don't fully understand and they don't have the time to learn it all themselves...I really enjoyed the seminar and I'm going to try to make it out for the next one too!  See you soon and good luck next week with your launch of WSO Marketing!”

Our next workshop will be held on Wednesday, July 13 at our headquarters. It’s focused on measuring if your business needs have outpaced the functioning of your website. Titled, “Website Function Analysis 102: When to Recognize that your Business Needs are Outpacing the Functions of Your Website,” the session will be added arsenal for helping your website maximize its business prospects and revenue opportunities. The workshop is FREE and includes lunch.
