2012 SYLLABUS IS NOW POSTED...
It Was Created Based Upon More of What We Business Owners Want to Know

Experience is the best teacher. The BannerView.com Edutainment Learning Series was predicated upon this axiom. We developed it in May of 2011 because we realized that the world of the Internet, and operating a business website, are both complicated and dynamic. So much so, that for the time-challenged and resource-constrained business owner who wants to leverage the Internet as a business portal, keeping up can be exhausting. We saw that there was no educational outlet which provided hands-on, common sense knowledge for business owners which they could readily take back to their office and start to use.

Experience has taught us at BannerView.com to pay attention, and in paying attention, we have continued to design a course program which addresses the every day needs and concerns of a business owner who wants to maximize their business prospects and revenue opportunities by using the Internet as a channel.

Our experience with you in our workshops has laid the foundation for 2012...

Take Online Marketing for example. In 2011, we launched the very popular workshop of understanding SEO strategies and how to leverage social media to your advantage. From those workshops and from BannerView.com’s own Online Marketing and Consultation Service, we added to 2012: “Online Advertising: How to Advertise on the Web: Fundamentals 101: Part 1,” and “Online Advertising: How to Advertise on the Web 202: A Planning Workshop” (which requires Online Advertising 101). We are very excited about this two-part workshop.

The first course, 101, takes you through understanding your online marketing goals, your target audience, the differences in advertising vehicles, strategies in placing ads, measuring the effectiveness of the campaign, and tying all to your overall marketing and advertising strategy. The follow up course, 202, is a hands-on workshop which allows you to create your campaign--from developing your online advertising strategy, to writing your ads, to determining what online channels you’ll use to place the ads, and how to track the campaign.

Although we don’t expect you to instantly become an expert, by both courses’ end, we do expect you to have gained the experience in further developing yourself as a marketing do-it-yourselfer and or to be educated when hiring a professional.

Security Matters: Experience has taught us all that when we want to do business on the Web, we are exposed and so are our customers. From privacy invasion and identity theft, to protecting ecommerce transactions, to how to spot a scam or virus. There’s a lot to know. There’s a lot to look out for. This workshop is designed for better arming us lay business professionals on how to build our websites and conduct business so that we minimize security risks. Our first course on Website Security will be held on March 14, 2012, learn more.

Mastering Emerging Technologies: No sooner do we think that we have mastered the latest device or software when new ones come along. The sure thing we all know is that business is turning mobile. Just what does turning mobile look like, is the moving part of the picture. Software platforms are ever changing. Emerging technologies and their effect on our businesses cannot be ignored. Are we expected to be computer gurus while running our day-to-day business, of course not. Is it possible to have our awareness elevated so that as laymen we can ask solid questions to better understand all the moving parts so that our websites and Internet businesses keep up, of course. This workshop is designed to do just that. Emerging Technologies & Their Impact on Website Design and Functionality premieres on June 13, learn more.
