Email: Android Tutorial

Step 1

From the home screen, open your Applications, then touch "Email".

Step 2

If you do not have any accounts, press "Other Providers."

If you do have other accounts, click on the three line button on the top of your phone next to Inbox, scroll down to settings and press Add Account. Choose "Other Providers."

Step 3

Type in your email address, then press Manual Setup.

Step 4

Choose IMAP.

Step 5

Type in your password, then press the next (right) arrow.

Step 6: Incoming Mail Server

Enter your Incoming Server Settings as specified below:

Username: Enter in your full email address

Password: Enter in your password which was created for this email account

Server: Enter in planname.bannerview.com
(Replace 'planname' with your hosting plan name, which is usually the same as your BannerView.com hosting account username. If you're not sure, your plan name can be found in the Welcome email you received when you signed up for services, or by logging into your BannerView.com hosting account and scrolling to the bottom of the Account Dashboard. Port: 993

Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)

IMAP path prefix: This is optional.

Press the next (right) arrow.

Step 7: Outgoing Mail Server

Enter the Outgoing Server Settings as specified below:

SMTP Sever: Enter in smtp.bannerview.com

Port: 26

Security Type: STARTTLS

Check the box: Require Signin

Username: Enter in your full email address

Password: Enter in your password created for this email address

Press the next (right) arrow.

Step 8

Choose your account settings, then press the next (right) arrow.

Step 9

Name your account, then press the next (right) arrow to save.
