A New Year... Any New Ideas?

Happy New Year! Yep, it's that time again - the time where a new year brings new life and new ideas! For many, it's a clean slate to pursue something new, or start over what we started last year and were never able to finish. Some may see it as a chance to kiss off the past year (and possibly even a year or two before that) and act like it never happened in order to regain the confidence to take on yet another new year. For me, I always look forward to an opportunity to look at things in a new way, so now is a great time to consider new ideas! No matter how you choose to look at it, now is a great time to be on the lookout for the next big idea that can change your life!

Big ideas can be hidden in small places, so it's important to allow yourself to be open to the change it may bring, rather than getting stuck in your own comfort zone and not being able to identify a big idea when you see one. Ideas come from within ourselves, but if we're too busy trying to keep up with everything that's going on around us, and don't give ourselves the time to relax and reflect on what's important to us, then you'll likely not come up with any ideas at all! It's important to understand, too, that not all ideas may be big when you first come across them, but they can turn in to big ideas once they take shape! Similar to opportunity knocking, but it may not always knock very loud.

Looking back at 2009, it seems like many people had a sense of hanging on and riding out the storm, but let's get back behind the steering wheel and help direct where 2010 takes us!
