Increase Your Page Ranking in Google

google rank

Title tag. Description tag. Keyword tag. Of the three, one reigns above the others in SEO importance. This relates in both technical and conversational methods. Which one is it?

The title tag. Used in all websites, it is one of the oldest elements of a website. When using a search engine to find a website, the titles that show up in blue are what is within the title tag.

You can check out a title tag by hitting CTRL+U whenever you are on a webpage. You will see the code of the website you’re looking at. If you hit CTRL+F and searchyou will find the title tag for that page. Don’t try to cram as many keywords as you can into your title tag, the search engines will just end up putting some of the title and follow it up with (…). Instead, think of those few key words that you really want the webpage to rank for and make sure those are the first few words of your title tag. A good tip is to include your brand in your title, if it is a page you want to draw a lot of attention to on your site.

Keywords, though essential to your website, shouldn’t be a major focus. Just simply putting them in the title tag is not enough. Crafting an enticing headline is better. Strategically implement the keywords throughout your content in support of the topic. Again, do not overdo it. Keywords should be used to elevate the topic by linking to relevant content within the website, or offsite. Aside from keywords throughout your title and text, here are some other factors that could influence your page ranking.

Below is a great article from MOZ that further expands upon WSO or onsite optimization, as well as SEO and offsite optimization.
