Thunderbird (PC) POP Account

Step 1

In Mozilla Thunderbird, from the Tools menu select Account Settings.

Select Account Actions from the bottom of the screen

Click on Add Mail Account

Step 4: Mail Account Setup

  • Name: Enter in your name as it will appear to others
  • Email Address: Enter in your full email address
  • Password: Enter in your password which was created for this email account
  • Check Remember Password

Click Continue

Click Manual Config

Enter in the fields as follow:

  • Incoming: Choose POP
    • Server Hostname: Enter in planname.bannerview.com
      (Replace 'planname' with your hosting plan name, which is usually the same as your BannerView.com hosting account username. If you're not sure, your plan name can be found in the Welcome email you received when you signed up for services, or by logging into your BannerView.com hosting account and scrolling to the bottom of the Account Dashboard.     • Port: Auto
    • SSL: Autodetect
    • Authentication: Autodetect
  • Outgoing:
    • Server Hostname: smtp.bannerview.com
    • Port: Auto
    • SSL: Autodetect
    • Authentication: Autodetect
  • Username: Enter your full email address including the domain name after the @ sign. This is case sensitive and should be all lower case letters.

Step 8: Internet Email Settings

Click Re-Test

Next to Outgoing, Change the Port from 25 to 26

Step 10

Click Create Account
