For your Consideration...The Birth of a Brand Seen in Video

Ok...so, since I have been writing about video marketing in the last few BV Buzz’s, you all must think I am either a woman possessed or have gone off my rocker.

I promise, I won’t make a real habit of writing about video marketing going forward, but I do have one more thing to say about it before I move on.

It’s about branding. It’s about how to use video to leverage your brand.

But before I go on about the subject, I ask you, does your business have a brand?

A brand typically combines a logo and words to capture and identify a product and/or company and acts as a differentiator from your competition. If the design of your brand clearly communicates what you do, then it is important to utilize every opportunity to use the brand when communicating to your customers and the world so that YOU leave a memorable and lasting impression.

Video Marketing can be a dynamic portal for showcasing your brand. 

In the past I have sung the praises of what video can do for your marketing. Let me recap:

Why use Video Marketing?

  • Video is tactile, experiential and trackable 
  • It puts a face to your pitch and can make an immediate impression 
  • When written and produced properly, video can initiate an immediate call to action from your viewer 
  • It can be used as an explainer video for otherwise complex subjects where words don't easily convey a product or service
  • Video marketing has proven to beat out all the response and conversion rates of traditional direct response marketing
  • Video marketing is more cost effective than boots on the ground prospecting

Video can make your brand come alive--for it gives you the opportunity to communicate the inspiration, the spirit behind it and thus your company and/or your product. 

Here’s a great example. The BannerView marketing team collaborated on the following video showing how our distinctive planetary logo was created and in so doing, the video expresses the spirit of the company and its work.

Take note that its 5 seconds are kinetic, energetic and creative. The video exactly captures the spirit of our company and the work that we do.

This video will have multiple uses. One of which will be its use as a trailer to our video productions just like what the iconic MGM Lion is to MGM film productions.

Your brand should capture the spirit of your company and product. It must be memorable and impactful. With a little creativity and a lot of vision, showcasing your brand on video certainly can help make a lasting impression and be a positive differentiator for your business.
