Create A New Image Slider

  1. From the main BannerOS Dashboard, click Content > Add New Slider.
  2. Enter a name for the slider, choose Nivo Slider for the type, and add the desired images. For best results, the images should all be equal in size. The rest of the settings can be left at their default values.
  3. On the next page you can change the slide order and add captions or links if desired.
  4. You can view a tutorial video about managing sliders on the main support page in the BannerOS Quick Help Videos section.

Adding a Slider to a Page

  1. From the main BannerOS Dashboard, click Content > Manage Pages.
  2. Locate the appropriate page and click View & Edit.
  3. Locate the content area you wish to add the slider to and click the blue edit icon.
  4. Place the mouse cursor inside the content editor where you want the slider to appear.
  5. Click the Insert Dynamic Content... menu and choose Image Slider.
  6. Choose the appropriate slider from the menu and click Insert. A marker will be placed on the page where the image slider will appear.
  7. Save your changes.

Adding a Slider to a Template

Warning: Editing shell templates can causing undesired effects if you are not careful and should only be attempted by those with some familiarity with HTML.

  1. From the main BannerOS Dashboard, click Design > Manage Shell Templates.
  2. Locate the appropriate shell template and click Options > Edit.
  3. In the Body Contents section, click the Disable button to turn off the WYSIWYG editor and reveal the source code.
  4. Click the Insert Dynamic Content... menu and choose Image Slider.
  5. Choose the appropriate slider from the menu and click Insert. A marker will be placed at the bottom of the source code window. Cut and paste this marker into the appropriate place within the source code.
  6. Save your changes.
