What Could You Be Thankful For?

With Thanksgiving upon us, I've naturally been getting a lot of emails and newsletters that are provoking the thoughts of what I'm thankful for. Lucky for me, that hardly takes any thought at all as I'm thankful for so much in my life! I'm thankful for all of the usual things that we should all be so lucky to have in our lives, such as my family, my friends, my relationships, my health, etc. I'm thankful that the older generation in my family is alive and well, and that I have an opportunity to start my very own family in the very near future! I'm thankful for my business, and the loyal employees that work there, as well as my co-executives that share in my journey to make a difference and succeed in life. I'm even thankful for the challenges that I've faced this year, whether it be financially, emotionally and the like, as I'm a true believer that making it through these challenges makes us stronger individuals in the long run.

Since it comes so easy for me to list off the things I'm thankful for in my life, I read the quote above and was inspired to decide what I wish I could be thankful for, something that I can't currently say I have. Now that's something to think about. In my case, most of the things I'm thankful for actually come pretty easy to me. I don't have to put much conscious effort to have any of the things listed above, as most of it I'm just fortunate to have as a byproduct of the way I live, or how I am. So, if I could pick one thing that I wish I could be thankful for, it would have to be personally making a difference in more people's lives.

In business, I'm blessed with the ability to make a difference in people's lives - but that's just a byproduct of my job. In our line of business, every individual that works for our company can be fortunate enough to say that they make a difference in people's lives. What about personally? As my readers may know, it's not enough for me to have it in one aspect of my life, and not the other. So, now that I've been provoked, hopefully next year I can say that I'm thankful for touching more people and personally making a difference in more people's lives.
