Wonderful Wonders!

Wonder is wonderful, as I have blogged about before, and I couldn't agree with the above quote more. I remember when I first got into "Googling," one of the things I looked up was "the seven wonders of the world." I recall hearing throughout my childhood that something was "one of the great wonders of the world," but when I tried to name them off the top of my head, somehow I was getting more than seven! My first thought was that someone along the way had lied to me! It wasn't until I "googled" it that I realized there are several lists of the Seven Wonders of the World. It's no wonder that there would be so many with all of the amazing accomplishments we see time and time again.

Being in the technology business, it never ceases to amaze me what is possible in our world. We are fortunate to often come across amazing business ideas for ourselves and for our clients! The entrepreneurial spirit helps drive the technology field we work in and allows for us to continuously push the possibilities of our industry. We're not just building websites anymore, we're creating systems that serve as the entire backbone of an operation, allowing businesses to ultimately accomplish more than they could have without it. Many times there are ideas that are seemingly small, but end up revolutionizing one's business and sometimes their entire industry. Millions of wonders are happening all around us, just not all of them get the press that they deserve!

In life, the number one "wonder" in my eyes is that of the human body, especially when it's creating another human being. As I've watched my wife throughout her first pregnancy, I am never less than amazed with what the human body does to bring a child to life. From the changes in her body, to the cravings and aversions to food that is necessary to promote a healthy growth, it's certainly an amazing wonder that all of this is possible, and even natural, for a typical female body to take on. There's no shortage of wonder when I can rest my hands on her belly and feel my future child kick and move around. It's easy for us to overlook the amazing accomplishment that the human body produces since it's been around longer than we have, but if you take a step back and understand the miracle that is happening, it is certainly one of the most amazing wonders of the world!

The inner-workings of technology as well as the inner-workings of the human body are awesome wonders in themselves, but let's not overlook the credit deserved by those that go through the trials and tribulations of what is possible in our world. From business owners willing to risk everything to see an idea come to life, to my beautiful wife that has been a champ throughout this process, making it seem easy when I know it's not, it's the people in this world that are truly the wonders.
