Move Forward

Move Forward

"Whatever you are meant to do, move toward it and it will come to you."
- Gloria Dunn

In the past, I've written about not being afraid to push forward with something you truly believe in. I gave an example in my blog Act Boldly, that although I didn't have the answers to everything I was trying to make happen in my life, I began moving forward with the ideas of what I wanted to see happen and the rest of the answers came to me.

Take a look at your life professionally. There's no doubt that identifying where you can make a difference, whether it be in your position, in your department, or in your company as a whole, that taking the initiative to move toward that goal will be your best chance to have it realized. You can have some of the best ideas in the world, but if you don't move toward implementing those ideas, then the results will likely never come to you. Take a look at where you see your next step professionally, then move toward it.

I discussed in my last blog, What's in Your Heart?, that sometimes you have to take a good hard look at what you see ahead for yourself, and make the appropriate changes if you don't like what you see. The first step is identifying what you believe you're meant to do, then the next step is to act on it - start moving toward it. If you don't make the effort, how can you expect anything to be different than what you see now?

It's often difficult to look past the fears you've accumulated throughout your life, but often times those fears will subside if you start moving toward your goal and what you're after starts to come to you.
